Adoption Policy and Information
Here at Joys Hope Siberians we like to know a little bit about our future kitten owners, so don't be surprised when we ask what made you decide on the Siberian breed, what is your past history with other pets, especially other cats and will there be lots of love for our babies in their new homes? Which we are sure there will be!!
Joys Hope Siberians asks that once you have decided on a kitten that you reserve that kitten with a $200 nonrefundable deposit. Kitten prices are determined by whether the kitten is to be a pet, show or breeder quality kitten. The fee for a "pet" kitten is $750. Please contact Joys Hope directly to determine prices for show or breeder kittens as well as for color point kittens.
In addition to the nonrefundable deposit, in order to reserve a Joys Hope Siberian you must sign a contract which you may obtain by clicking here:
At this time we are keeping an active waiting list with no fee attached for this service, but that may change in the future depending on the number of future owners waiting.
Shipping - If you do not live within driving distance of our cattery then Joys Hope is prepared to ship your new kitten via commercial airlines. However, you as the new owner are responsible to pay for the shipping costs and the price of an acceptable carrier for the kitten to travel in. The price for shipping, crate and health certificate is a flat fee of $250.

Joy’s Hope Cattery Health Guarantee for Siberian Kittens
After taking delivery of your new kitten, you as the new owner has up to 3 days to take the kitten to the vet for a health checkup. Should your vet find anything wrong with the kitten, you may either return the kitten to Joys Hope Cattery for a full refund, or if the kitten is easily treatable, Joys Hope Cattery will pay for the treatment. Joys Hope Cattery is not responsible for the vet checkup, but will be responsible for the vet visits and treatments if needed.
If any health related genetic defect (congenital anomaly) appears within the first year, Joys Hope Cattery will either replace the kitten or refund the purchase price of the kitten. FIP virus and FeLV virus are not to be considered congenital. Joys Hope Cattery does require documentation be provided in the form of a veterinarian pathology report.
Your kitten has been given the first in a series of 2 vaccinations at 9 weeks old. They should have the next vaccinations at 12 weeks old as well as dewormed. They have been given Fort Dodge FEL-O-VAC PCT which is a killed virus vaccine for feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus and panleukopenia. Since vaccination has been under considerable discussion and review each new owner will have to decide based on their own investigation and personal philosophy whether or not to have their kittens vaccinated with the multiple other vaccines available. Rabies vaccine will be given to any kittens that are 4 months of age or older who have not yet left the cattery. One kitten from each litter will be tested for Feline leukemia and the results copied and given to each new family. You will also be given a vet certified health certificate detonating the good health of the kitten.
